Photo Booth at Christmas Party in Chandler Arizona

My church congregation had a Christmas party this Saturday and they wanted to do a photo booth rather than the typical kids on santa’s lap photos.  So our good friend Karen came up with this idea and her husband Paul and our very handy friend Carl built a wall out of drywall, cut a hole in it and hung this frame.  It was my job to set up the lights and photo booth.  This photo booth took up an entire room in the church, but it was cool as could be.  We set the camera on a tripod and then tethered the camera into the computer.  Sarah (Paul’s daughter) , our official photographer for the evening, was able to fire the shot from the computer and the image was them brought into Lightroom (my imaging software of choice) where I had already set up the crop, the vignette and the color treatment and other post processing.  The image was then displayed on a second monitor for everyone in line to see.  It was super cool.  Everyone loved it and the photos are super cool.

You probably recognize my good friend Kevin Burdick in the photo above.  You can find his music on iTunes or on his web site at www.kevinburdick.com.

I’m not going to show them all here, but I am going to post my favorite images here.

This one is fantastic.  I love it.

Teddy, the boy on the left is such a funny kid.  I love that he is climbing out of the photograph, leaving his family.

I was think about buying this piece of art, but decided it would creep me out to have my friend Scott staring out into my living room for eternity.  So I will leave it on the blog where he can stare at unsuspecting blog readers for eternity.

Carl built the wall.  All that work can make a man thirsty.  My daughter’s sippy cup was a refreshing option.
